Workplace injury

A serious injury was sustained at work. Liability was not in dispute but a contributory negligence argument remained, along with issues about quantum related to work opportunities, previous work patterns and future likelihood of disability. 

Earlier negotiations had broken down amid some loss of trust. Mediation over 5 hours resulted in an agreed outcome, payment of compensation and recognition of the pursuer’s own efforts to stay in employment.
