Cross Cultural Mediation and Conflict Management
Sarah Blake, a young Australian mediator came to Scotland in early 2009 with a view to sharing ideas and experiences with mediators in Scotland and in particular inspiring young mediators to “get out there and just do it!”
She has spent the past six years working in the field of conflict resolution, management and cross-cultural engagement, most recently within remote Aboriginal Communities in Northern Australia and has some fascinating case studies from this work.
In March, in association with the Young Mediators’ Group, Core arranged a discussion event with her at which she gave a talk on her own personal reflections as a cross-cultural mediator, entitled “Cross Cultural Mediation & Conflict Management: A Bridge Between”.
