Mediation Business Brisk
Mediation business was brisk throughout this summer and our mediators have been engaged nearly every week since the spring, helping businesses and individuals to find ways forward in many difficult situations. These include:
- Renewable energy projects
- Infrastructure schemes
- Planning applications
- Construction contracts
- Public private partnership issues
- Share purchase and business acquisition
- Taxation on receivership
- Corporate banking recovery
- Client relationships in professional services
- Management in organisations
- Agricultural partnership arrangements
- Corporate restructuring
- Alleged professional negligence by architects
- Damages claim for personal injury and loss of property
- Partnership cessation
We have been encouraged by the increased awareness in Government, the public sector and in business as more and more organisations and individuals turn to mediation as an early means to sort out differences.
Speaking at conferences on Public Sector Budgets and the Future of Scotland post devolution (John Sturrock chaired a conference, “Scotland Ten Years On”, at which both the First Minister and the Secretary of State for Scotland were the keynote speakers) has helped to raise the profile of mediation in both the public and private sectors.
