Copenhagen Summit


Charlie Woods and John Sturrock both attended Copenhagen in December 2009 at the time of the summit talks on climate change (COP 15).  Click here and here to read their respective thoughts about this monumental event and its aftermath.

Mediators Beyond Borders, of which Ken Cloke is President, was the only dispute resolution organisation with non-observer status at the summit in Copenhagen , which was described as “the most important date in the history of humanity”. 

Mediators from around the globe met together to press for inclusion of mediation in the protocols for resolution of disputes arising in connection with the impact of climate change. Their work continues in the aftermath of the summit and in preparation for what follows in Mexico City later this year.
