Why Use Mediation
Mediation gives those involved control over the way their dispute or difference is dealt with.
It is quicker, more cost effective and more flexible than an adversarial process, with greater potential for creative solutions than is usually available from courts, tribunals or during prolonged negotiations.
Mediation enables the parties to work out the solution for themselves, which means that the outcome tends to be more satisfactory, durable and constructive than one imposed by a third party.
It provides a greater degree of certainty. Providers around the world report that over 80% of business mediations produce a satisfactory outcome - meaning that a final resolution has been achieved by the end of the process, usually over a day or perhaps two, and usually reflected in a written agreement. Even if a final resolution is not achieved, nearly always the process helps to narrow the issues in dispute or to give people a better idea of where the differences between them truly lie.
Mediations can be arranged within a few days - or sooner if necessary.
